Book Club at St. John's
Beginning at 7:00 PM, after a service of the Holy Eucharist (6:30 PM) we will meet in the library for our book discussion. Our book for September is Shusaku Endo's Silence. Please bring a drink and a snack to share. All are welcome. One or two copies of the books will be available to read in the Parish Library, if you are unable to get your own copy. Most of these books can also be found and borrowed at the Naperville Public Library.
Fourth Thursday (September 26)
Eucharistic Adoration
After a service of Holy Eucharist in the Church, all are welcome to sit in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the Chapel. Much like we do on Maundy Thursday, Christians have a long tradition of sitting in prayer and contemplation before the presence of Jesus under the sacramental sign of bread. The chapel will be open until 8:00 PM for a time of quiet prayer.
