The Book of Common Prayer shapes and forms life for Episcopalian and Anglican Christians more than any other source, but few Episcopalians understand how to use the Book of Common Prayer within their own spiritual life and relationship with God. This Fall, Father Jonathan will teach a class about the history and practicality of the Book of Common Prayer within the Christian Life. We will learn where the American Book of Common Prayer comes from and how it compares with and contrasts to the English Books of Common Prayer. We will learn how the Book of Common Prayer informs our Christian tradition and theology. And we will learn how to use the Book of Common Prayer in our everyday prayer life.
